A rose by any other name…

This is a response to all this 3rd party garbage and Bush has failed us Oh boohoo mentality.

WARNING: Not for the faint of heart or Third Party suck up. I plan on offending. Read it and weep.

I’m about to get angry…You don’t want to see me when I’m angry…

First off.

We (Conservatives) are as responsible for our leaders (that we now nark on all the time) as the democrats are for their traveling circus (Clinton etc). Conservatives voted Bush in and they cant even own up to it anymore. Granted, we are not responsible for their unpredictable actions. But to an extent. We got them there, we trusted them, we voted. When you place that much power into someone, you can’t expect everything to be peachy. You can’t whine about how they didn’t meet YOUR every expectation. Because there are a few people over seas who got the chance to vote for the first time… I wonder how they feel about their expectations?

That being said.

Atleast when Clinton screwed up his crazy little followers stood up for him. Why? Because they were stupid.Yes! But they also supported the man THEY CHOSE as president. They believed in him. And with that mentality his old maid will have a good bid for the next presidency. And I almost look forward to seeing all the RINOs who whine and bitch over how bad republicans are see how much ‘better’ one of the far left dit wads is going to run the country.

I’m sick of all this 3rd party crap. I’m sick of the republican party being insulted instead of helped. It doesn’t have to die. At this point it cant. Third parties have some strength to affect votes but they will most likely not win for awhile. The votes they do take will be from a conservative candidate anyway. Because democrats are showing no fear in losing support. IN fact, Third parites wont have a chance to win once some democrat takes over for 8 years and turns America into one big target sign for terrorist.

This constitutional crap wont fly for years. Why should it? It LOOKS LIKE CLASSIC CONSERVATIVE BELIEFS. Its a re-run. Its been done. Someone thought of it already! These ideas need to be applied back to the republican party by people electing true conservatives to represent them.

If ya can’t fix whats not broke then you CAN fix what is broke. (That was lame I know)

‘Democrat’ and ‘Republican’ are common and recognizable names. Even stupid people have at least heard of them. So throwing in a buncha Constitutional this and Libertarian that will only confuse people who don’t want to bother learning new tricks anyway.

Maybe…Eventually we will have to make a new party but as far as I see it, if the democrats are staying somewhat united then why can’t republicans. THEY haven’t split off into severe groups. They don’t in-fight with each other NEAR as much. It can be a bad thing, and it can be a good thing. Conservatives are losing themselves by trying to rename themselves.

See, you think a shinny new name is going to absolve you from ever getting rotten leadership or having problems. You think it will erase mistakes. If you have a mis behaved kid do you think renaming it is going to make it act better? It wont. Especially if that kids IDEALS are the same. These bogie parties are just new names with conservative ideas.

When and IF they get big and become a major party they will somewhere along the line elect their own “Bush” Or “LBJ” and self implode. Then WHAT I ask you? They will change their names to disguise their mistakes and corrupt leadership and we will be debating about whose the cooler new kid at the lunch table. Hmm “The Re-Reform Party” or the “Hey This Isn’t A Joke I Mean It Constitutional Party”.

Is making up new groups when we get in a crunch going to solve anything? It’s been Republican and Democrat since the Civil War people. I think that says allot about the success of under dog parties. I’m not ruling them out. But so far it just seems that they are escape plans to get away from the republican party before it is destroyed. It is abandoning ship. Not new ideas. We can’t just run to a new flavor of the month every time failure rears its ugly head.

  1. witch

Damn now the Dem’s will be whining about why we quit searching for mike!!!

  2. But in then according to what I’ve seen on DU.com doesn’t that mean that Mike is actually a CIA employee and he’s being hidden by Bush in a secret bunker under the Pentagon??

    Hmmm, meta tag experiment…

  3. Didn’t work. There must be an open tag in your post that’s making everything that comes after it be bolded, even the comments.

It’s not that we’ve just decided to suddenly start dumping on them. It’s more along the lines of a whole lot of us have been biting our tongues for a long time for the sake of preserving the majority. Now that it’s all lost and he’s a lame duck who’s still doing everything that ticked us off in the first place we’re finally speaking our minds. We admit that we voted for him, but there really wasn’t any other choice. It was him or John Fing Kerry. It wasn’t as much a vote for him than one not to abandon our troops.

Of course the dems stood by Bubba. Having their cake and eating it too is standard operating procedure on the left. But we on the right, especially conservatives expect more of our leaders. We actually expect them to do what they say. One reason 3rd parties will never win is because people keep saying they’ll never win. The reform party got 20% of the national vote in 92, that was amazing. The big problem with that party though was that it wasn’t built on the message as much as it was a cult of personality built on Ross Perot. When he fizzled the party and it’s ideals went with him. Today the hypocrite is building a facility down in Mexico…

One big problem with trying to reinject conservatism back into the Republican party is that during the last election most all the real conservatives lost! Burns, Santorum, Hayworth, they all lost and the national party is taking it as a sign that they need to go even farther left.

I worked my ass off for Burns. Stuffing envelopes, putting up yard signs and walking many miles knocking on doors even in the (literal) freezing rain. All while pulling my hair out watching the national party just sit back never answering the unending, year and a half long media blitz by the left. I asked people in the campaign office “Where are our ads??”. I emailed the campaign president “Why aren’t we responding??”. And when we did put out a few ads they were cartoonish and insulting to which I tried to tell everyone “This is stupid! It’s going to turn voters off!” but nobody listened. They all waited on their retarded 72 Hour Strategy. Because of people like me and in spite of our own campaign we lost by less than 2,000 votes. But it doesn’t matter cause all you need to lose by is 1.

So allot of us are sick of the party ignoring the base, ignoring conservatism and implementing all these democrat ideas. I guess we’ve just lost faith that the party CAN be fixed anymore. And at the current rate, we see it being another 40 years before we have power again. The main thing that keeps us from unifying like the democrats is that whole “standards” thing. The left can break promises and even laws all day long and it won’t matter. The power of hate will still make their sheep check the box marked “Democrat”. We on the right won’t vote Dem, but we’re so frustrated we’re ready to vote “Other”.

*L* In the end our arguments can be broken down as such:

SF: If we’re going to get back to the business of running down democrats in the street, we need a new car!

LOF: No! Now more than even we need to make skid mark out of donks in THIS car!

  4. I fixed the open bold tag in this post. Everything is back to normal.

  5. It was (a very poor) joke about wanting to achieve the same end of defeating liberals while using different means to get there.

Not only is she soft spoken, she’s also humble. *L* I’m still willing to vote Republican though, just wanted to throw the other thing out there and see how people would react to it. It’s be great if Tancredo could get the nomination but that’s right up there with Al Gore becoming a dittohead. It’s most likely going to be contest between Guliani and McCain.

Ugh… Nothing good on tv, nothing worth seeing in the theaters, nobody’s even updating their blogs. Sooooo bored….

  6. I’m me so I guess that explains why I’m at home tonight. Although boring times like this must really suck for you being on dialup. Currently passing the time here downloading season 9 episodes of South Park from southparkx.net If you’ve got unlimited access (instead of the so many hours a month plans) you should go there before you get off for the night and start a download. Click previous at the bottom of the screen to get to page 2 and go to the dl page for “Die Hippies Die”, it’s hilarious and worth the time to get it. Although you’ll need Real Player to view it if you don’t already have it installed.

It is legal to download them too, the creators of SP have given the go ahead for people to get the episodes off the net.

  7. My apologies, my language was a bit unclear: I was indeed complimenting you.
