I sorta of like The Black Eyed Peas, however their song My Humps has got to be one of the stupidest hooker songs to come out of the let’s teach our girls to be sluts music industry.
Alanis Morissette helped contribute to the women as objects marketing at varying times in her career, although she might have finally realized the error of her ways and my be attempting to make amends. This does not absolve her of some responsibility for setting an example that going down on your boyfriend in a theater could be a resume enhancement for generation xxx. With age usually comes an increase in wisdom, in the case of Alanis Morissette she may have just increased her grace quotient by a factor of one.
Morissette nudges the women’s movement slightly away from Fergalicious land by satirically sending My Humps back to the stripper pole it spins around.
Alanis Morissette Parody Of “My Humps” (video)
Ladies when you hear the question, “Whatcha gonna do with all that junk, all that junk inside your trunk?” you would be wise to respond, “I’m gonna make make make you see, make you see the grace that empowers me!”
you are absolutly right. women do not have to ‘go to the extreme’ to try to feel accepted. there is no reason that they should have to be whores just so someone will like them. I do not want my daughter, or your daughter, to think that she has to act like britney spears to be ‘in.’
women say they want to be taken seriously, then do something intelligent and stop relying on your hump.

Early on I wasn’t a fan of Morissette, but I quickly changed my tune (pun intended) after opening my mind a little and really listening to her songs.
She’s very ironic, I think.
