An American Soilder’s Passionate Email

(via Rusty Humphries)

I read this email on The Passionate America Show today. I barely made it through without breaking down. How could we let these guys down?

Thoughts on the Election Results from a Soldier in Iraq

I know you probably get a lot of messages asking you to read stuff on your show, but I BEG you to read this…… I would like you to tell America exactly what they did to their soldiers on Tuesday, and what WE think about our countrymen right now.

“I hope you are satisfied with what you have done…

Today in the mess hall, where there is usually jovial conversation, there was silence, long faces, and broken spirits… Everyone, to include all American soldiers, marines, sailors, airmen, Iraqi Nationals, Bulgarian Soldiers, etc, etc… was speechless, tired, demoralized and stunned…. all ate in erie silence…..

Last night, while we watched the press conference with the President, there was utter discust, and the common feeling amongst us all that we soldiers are now the loneliest people on Earth…. we fight an enemy over here, and we have a country full of enemies to go home to that are our countrymen. We watched President Bush say his own political funeral, our commander and chief.. as well as ours….. He tried so hard to spin it, but… well.. there is no way to soften such a morale blow.

While you sit and Monday morning quarterback what we work so hard to do for you out here, just know that the spirit of your team is wounded….. YOU liberals, you America have done a great job of demoralizing us… Thank you.

Do us a favor though, when we do come home, spare us the ceremony……. We all now know that it is a bunch of crap, and what you think of us…….

I have to say that right now, I would rather be a pussy ass Frenchman, even though they have no will to fight, at least they have the balls to make a decision and stick with it…… They stuck to thier guns about staying out of this war, even if it was the wrong decision……America on the other hand, goes off half cocked, and when the decision appears to be a hard one, or something that might cost a little bit, they turn tail and run…..

WHAT A NATION OF PUSSIES!!!!

This week I am NOT proud to say that I am an American……….I think it is obvious why… See, we just have told the world that we are not a nation of people who are tough, and will fight for what we believe in… We have told the world that we are a giant coward that will shy away from any difficult challenge…

So, while you eat your cheetos, and sit there and watch your lazy ass get fatter, dumber and happier Joe Citizen.. Just remember this, I, and all my commrades payed a dear price to come this far and have you decide that we should fail…

Realize this, because of your action this week America…. do not expect so many men to be so willing to stand up for your next little whim just to be cut down in the middle of it all…………

Realize this also.. you have just put a heavy price on the heads of us all…… Now that we are branded as cowards, we are an easy target, oh so inviting for the taking……. I swore to protect your children in your beds…. yet you fling the door wide open inspite of me to invite the scourge…. Well…. have it your way then.

Because of this, September 11th will soon be overshadowed by these same enemies.. my advice to you is get your lazy, self centered ass up and make peace with your God, and your family.. cause, time will come when they may not be there for you……………. Because you kicked me in the teeth, and so many others, I know I won’t any more.. ”

Aaron.

There are still a lot of Americans, who support them without reservation. I advise them to write their families friends etc. and address these issues to the media. It has long been a concept of war that to control a population you must control communication. Unfortunately the MSM is still the primary News source for a majority of Americans. CNN is a prime example since for at least a week or more before the election they ran broken government over and over again. This issue is not over by a long shot! For each person who speaks out, another hears, and when they speak some one else hears, this manner if communication is exponential, and effective particularly if the source is credible!

  2. I am a United States Army veteran. I know a lot of other veterans from my era (the sixties, VietNam). In fact, the local American Legion hall is a block from my house, and I rented that building when I got married.

Every vet I know agrees that the invasion of Iraq was a clusterbleep, directed by a coward and a deserter on the basis of lies.

If you think it’s a good idea to occupy Iraq, march down the the recruiting office and sign up. If you think it’s a good idea as long as other people make the sacrifices, then you are a coward and a blowhard, unworthy of the rights you enjoy that were paid for with the blood of your betters.

Remind me about all the sacrifices you have made for your country. Did you skip a meal once? Did your arm get real sore one time from waving a flag?

Your “correspondent” gives no details that suggest he is a real person. He is a plant, matching his IQ.

  3. On the contrary Mike, I’ve been to Iraq. While I don’t share ALL of the author of the email’s sentiments (I will continue to serve), his attitude and feelings are not uncommon. Try to keep in mind that the muslim nutjobs are cheering the results of the election. That speaks volumes in itself.

  4. Sonnabend

Sorry guys…hate to burst your bubble, but the email is genuine, the details have been verified and the person in question contacted in person.

Rusty has also spoken to the guy’s wife.

Sooo….you can now go to Rusty’s site, call him and the guy that wrote the email a liar.

    Go on…off you go.

  5. Sonnabend

Link is at the top of the blog, idiot.

Can you see the words Rusty Humphries? Reading comprehension was never your strong suit, was it?

Oh and…why didn’t you call into my show, Mike? You’ve had plenty of opportunity.

  6. Sonnabend

Oh and Mike….whatever plans nations other than the US have are really none of your concern. We will make our own decisions, in our own time, when we are good and ready.

  7. witch

    Sonnabend

Don’t give him the link, make him look it up!

Mike is a Troll, it will just become a nuisance, and bother people like the shit eating fly he is.

As for the other comment! Do not presume to question My Patriotism, or my service as I am a veteran, and have a son serving now, so on that score bite me! As for the War I support it, and damn you if you don’t have the guts or integrity to do what is right.
I have no Idea what veterans you know so much about who disagree with the war, I have two ideas on the subject one is that they are those 30 something folks I meet all too often claiming to be Vietnam Veterans ( you do the math), and the second is that they are French!

As for Veterans against the war, so fucking what? I just happen to know some of them as well, most spent less than 3 years in and never had the experience to know jack shit, they generally live on government handouts or some such and generally know more about gouging the system than about the real world, or military tactics.

But I know one hell of a lot more who not only support the war but believe we should take the gloves off and kick ass in no uncertain terms!

So you just go a head and whine, all you want, but mark my word if we pull out of this war prematurely it will be the worst thing we can do, and we will have whiny little girly men like you all to thank for it, you liberals all together wouldn’t make a pimple on a real mans ass!

  8. Sonnabend

Thats the “chickenhawk” meme..all it is is a way to stifle discussion. It’s bullshit.

Okay Repack, unit, MOS and rank please? Where did you serve and when? You’re calling this vet of Rusty’s a liar…now you ante up.

  9. Sonnabend

Do any of us look like the Joint Chiefs of Staff to you??

    GO ASK THEM.

    IDIOT.

  10. Sonnabend

    Mike:you are not credible.

You have actually been answered on this earlier…you are just too stupid to go back and find the entries.

I am not here to educate you, I am not here to explain things to you, I am not here to be patient with someone who hasn’t the brains to do their own research.

Don’t just sit there drooling like a three year old, go back through the previous threads to find the answers you asked for.

    Go on, GET.

  11. witch

    Repack Rider: AKA Charles Kelly
Yep Repack Rider, you are a real honest to god Veteran, and you even got to see Janis Joplin naked!

Boy like I am really impressed! Seems you and John Fucking Kerry have a lot in common. You both ride bicycles and exaggerate the importance of your military experience for your personal agendas.
I noted you were very outspoken about your status as a veteran, and some of your comments:
    1. “then you are a coward and a blowhard, unworthy of the rights you enjoy that were paid for with the blood of your betters”.
    And
    2. (This is my favorite) “Remind me about all the sacrifices you have made for your country. Did you skip a meal once? Did your arm get real sore one time from waving a flag?”

So heres clue numb nuts, apparently you were drafted, and never left the United States, here is some of your bio. For others here to review I have taken the liberty of bracketing some of it and included a link, for the benefit of the readers!
“Those of you who knew me as a National Merit Scholar might be surprised to learn that ((((after I flunked out of College of Marin in record time, my formal education was over))).
((( I was drafted in February 1966))) and assigned to the medical outfit that was used as the model for the movie “M*A*S*H.” (((I spent most of my military service in Arizona))), and (((left the state before the sheriff in Sierra Vista, Arizona could locate me to serve the warrant))).
Meanwhile, back in Marin, my good friend Mark Hazell (’Tam 62) was rooming at Bill Champlin’s house and giving me updates on the Sons of Champlin and((( the San Francisco music scene))).
(((When I left the army in 1968, I was a rare commodity, a healthy male without a “draft problem” of the sort my friends who had gone to college were now facing))). After a suitable courtship, (((I joined up with the Sons as the roadie in 1968, and I have held that position ever since.)))) Other Tam grads who are now or have been in the band include Bill Champlin, of course, Bill Bowen (’65), Rob Moitoza (’63), Dave Schallock (’65) and roadie Steve Tobin (”64).
For nine years I waited for the Sons to make me rich and they didn’t, but I got to tour with groups like Three Dog Night, Average White Band and Leon Russell, as well as working shows with every legend from that era. Plus, I got to see Janis Joplin naked.

    http://sonic.net/~ckelly/Reunion/gillingham.htm#ck

So Repack, I am waiting for the rest of the story, if you really want to tell us, until then, you sir are a Blowhard. I can respect that you are a Veteran, but I will not respect the manner in which you abuse that status by carefully hedging your words to imply that you were something of some importance, and to then challenge others. My son has a far more distinguished Military record than you, and no he had not been born in 1972, So repack shut up and go away!

I and others will be keeping an eye open if you resurface with this lame ass story of yours else where!

  12. Mike the reason why the WSJ knew about how I got out of the NAVY is because I told them. And anyone that has listened to my show for a few episodes knows the whole story. Mike we can’t have a normal conversation with you because you are insane. I would rather just call you names then answer your never ending bullshit questions that will never amount to any gain in IQ points from you.

    Reparations!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  13. Sonnabend

    Mike= chickenhawk meme=broken record=yawn.

Sonnabend, obviously doens’t have answers or ideas. I understand, Sonnabend, that you won’t come up with anything. Thanks for trying”

Oh I have plenty of ideas…don’t mistake my lack of comment for lack of knowledge…it’s more a lack of interest in your bullshit.

“Will that be your stance if the US elects a non-Republican to the Presidency? If Hillary Clinton becomes President, am I correct in assuming that you will forward all of your complaints about the US military, war effort, etc. to the JCS, exclusively?”

Mike..do I need to buy you a fucking MAP? You REALLY have a problem with reading comprehension, don’t you?

No one tell him…let’s let the decerebrate dunderhead work it out for himself.

Is Passionate America meant to be a place where lazy, occasionally drunk, welfare recipients talk about the importance of fighting the war on terrorism from the comfort of their Kleenex-strewn bedrooms?

I’m not on welfare, dick head.

I don’t drink, shit for brains.

I refuse to believe you are all just empty vessels into which the Republicans dump their talking points?

As opposed to the Democrat talking points you are regurgitating?

if anyone has other ideas or comments, I’d be interested in hearing from you.

    You’re a moron.

    Fuck off and die.

  14. Sonnabend

Mike…there’s a very descriptive four letter word.

    And you’re full of it.

  15. Sonnabend

I guess you’re disinclined to provide the details of either your “emergency services” background or why the Australian military “didn’t want” you

    Correct.

I forgot to include lack of intelligence as a possible reason for your rejection from the military but I knew I was generally right about you ;-)

    Wrong.

I can’t wait to hear your show, girlscout.

When ya going to call in, coward?

  16. witch

    Mike

Yes Mike I nailed Repack, because he is a Blow hard trying to use his veteran status as grounds to gain credibility where he in fact had very little, so what’s it too you? Did it hurt your wittle fweelings?

I’m surprised though that you know about Subic Bay, or is that just a place you heard about? Are you one of those idiots who swam with the shit river queens? Have you ever been to New Jolos, Or Merilans supper club? How about the Nippi hut in Angeles city? Maybe Olongapo city?

Or maybe I was right and you aspire to be a head boy in a Philippine bordello. Or do you really aspire to be a Benny boy trolling for drunken sailors on magsaysy drive! Oh that’s right Subic Bay is closed isn’t it so maybe you could make a career move to San louis.

Bottom line mike I’ve been to Subic several times and you are still a snot slinging ass scratching troll! I responded to Repacks post because he is more important than you are, even if he is a virtual fraud, but don’t fret too much I will be answering your post so be sure to watch for it.

  17. witch

    Mikey:

If Little Orange Fox is overweight its most likely because of that .44 magnum she has tucked in her Bra, combined with the K-bar strapped to the small of her back and all the extra ammo she’s packing just in case she runs into a target rich environment (you know like a Daily Kos rally)!

Now I can’t really speak for the physical statures of all the others on here but I can tell you that simply being a little overweight will not keep you from joining the military, because they have a really remarkable program to solve that problem, its called Boot Camp! Of course you likely don’t understand that concept since you are likely more accustomed to sandals, and your only experience with the term Boot was when one got planted in your ass by some ticked off American Patriot.

As for Boils, well I suspect that they are just the body’s way of expelling the liberal infection forced upon us by the MSM (Kieth Olberman comes to mind), and that is easily remedied by lancing with the afore mentioned K-bar and application of antibiotics (I hear that fox news helps).

As for you being all ears, well that’s just great; too bad there is nothing in between except liberal pus, similar to that which is obtained by lancing the afore mentioned Boil, which likely explains why you are several neurons shy of having a rational thought.

As for not joining for medical reasons, there are a multitude of medical (and Other) reasons why some one would not be allowed to enlist I could easily name a dozen non life threatening reasons; yet you seem stuck on someone being fat (if you had emphasized “fat stupid people” I might be inclined to believe that your name is Edmonds). So why don’t you acknowledge that you are just being an Ass, or are you having one of those Freudian slip kind of things?

You claim we are not credible, somehow because of what we believe and how we do things, well that is your opinion and you are entitled to it. And you can always claim that it’s all Bushes fault, or Diebolds, or Cheney, ETC that mantra has been spouted by the Liberals for so many years that they actually believe it.

So tell us exactly how you have reached the asinine conclusion that we are not engaged in a life and death struggle with the forces of evil? Do you not understand what Radical Islam stands for? Do you not realize that Islam has been at war with the world since its beginning? Do you not believe them when they say they want to kill or enslave us all?

Get a clue mikey, I refer you to http://www.prophetofdoom.net/ they do a pretty good job of explaining it even for someone with your limited knowledge, then again Glenn Beck will have a special on at 7-9 EST today on the subject, you do get CNN don’t you?
As for “where the military is going to get the troops to even maintain - let alone increase - troop numbers in Iraq” We have enough troops and if Liberal assholes like you would quit whining long enough to get with this nation instead of denigrating it and worrying about the rights of the poor little terrorist scumbags, maybe we could untie the troops hands enough to really fight this war like it should be fought namely by aggressively going after and killing the enemy wherever he is.

And if that is not enough start drafting some of these asshole who want to sit back and protest the United States and send their asses to fight (nothing changes a liberal’s attitude like a good firefight). And while we are on the subject mikey, you seem to agree with the war in Afghanistan, so why haven’t you enlisted?

Let me take a S.W.A.G. (Scientific Wild Assed Guess) about you mikey, you are in college or college educated (most likely a liberal one), You have never actually served in the Military (and if you have never in a combat environment), you have never lived in a foreign country particularly a 3rd world one, you have never lived under the rule of a Dictator or actually seen someone killed by another person, you lack the ability to think and act on your own even in self defense, you most likely do not know how to even sharpen a knife let a lone use one, you couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with a twelve gauge double barreled shot gun let alone a man sized target at 3 hundred yards with a rifle and iron sights, if all the stores closed tomorrow you would be going hungry in less than a week, you associate only with those people who think like you do and treat those who do not share your lofty ideas as troglodytes, yet you fail to realize that those same troglodytes are the very people would be best equipped to assist and or protect your worthless ass.
Now you answer some of that, otherwise if you don’t like our opinions go suck a Balut!

  18. Mike, if everything here sucks so bad, then leave. We know you won’t because you are only here to be a pain in the ass. That’s why Sonnabend doesn’t give in to your bullshit. This is evidenced by the fact that you attribute views to us that no one here has ever expressed.

Repack, you’re nothing more than a stinkin’ hippy that wasn’t quick, or smart enough to dodge the draft or stay in school. You’re opinion holds no more weight than any other stoner hippy loser holding a stupid protest sign. STFU.

  19. Sonnabend

    can you be more specific

    Yes.

or are you intentionally vague about the contents of your experience

    Yes.

because we’d all laugh at your definition of “emergency services”?

    No.

  20. I’ll address a few points, Mike, since I generally don’t have time to read such long screeds.

I’d highly recommend that anyone here at Passionate America take a trip to a 3rd world country sometime

Why in the hell would anyone go to a turd world country? They suck, that’s why they’re turd world countries. Besides, Mike, you didn’t use your correct liberal PC word “developing” in place of turd world. You may get your hippie card revoked.

If you think we’re over there for some lofty purpose like “freedom”, you’ll be disappointed.

If you think there is only one reason to be in Iraq, you’re a fool. Freedom is a side-effect that was used to sell this war. I actually hate the talk about “freedom” in Iraq. We need to occupy Iraq, and make it middle-eastern America so we can pressure Syria and Iran right in their own back yard. The fact that you think that we think that’s why we’re in Iraq just shows how completely wrong you are in your perceptions of us.

Do you think Halliburton wants the war to end? They should have pursued that train of thought, as should you guys.

Okay, in pursuit: Yay Halliburton and it’s subsidiaries! Way to go! Now, I want my $.95 gasoline NOW!

Any questions, Mike? Heh, in the words of that guy in the Sonic commercials, “What a dufus.”

  21. witch

    Mike:
Sounds like you have changed your tune somewhat, but I will reserve judgment on that!
I don’t care what anyone would think, about me being an expert about the sex industry in the Philippines. As I recall I made no mention that I was an expert, for all you know I was a Pilipino bar girl, or perhaps I worked to control STD’S, or perhaps with the Provost Marshals Office! Anyway, you don’t care & it’s not really your scene, so what’s your point?
Most people I knew went over there as Military; I don’t recall any offices or units called “Reagan-supporting Republican”, which makes most of what you say irrelevant, not to mention wrong. Then perhaps you are unaware that The Philippines was an American territory, or that we have had a presence there since the late 1700’s –early 1800’s, over all just sounds like so much leftist crap, world politics is not your strong point so you should just stay out of it.
As for you highly recommending that we take a trip to a 3rd world country, You are preaching to the choir, not counting North and South America I have personally been to some 30 odd countries, among which are Pakistan, India, Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Iraq, among others many of which qualify as 3rd world so do not presume to talk to me about educational.
As far as Iraq being different than presented by the Blogasphere, I’d say it’s different than portrayed by the MSM, since it is obvious to even the most casual observer that the MSM is biased and has their own agenda. In saying that I do not consider you a casual observer, you are biased beyond words and take every opportunity to demean America and are there fore part of the problem.
We’re over there for our “freedom”, not the Iraqi’s theirs is just a means to an end, and it is left leaning radicals like you right here in America that are gumming up the works! You are so blinded by America Bad; rest of the world is good that you would sacrifice everything to prove it, and refuse to see what is right in front of your eyes.
I will agree that our Government needs fixing, but we have different priorities on how to fix it, Iraq is just another part of the equation! You seem to think we should just withdraw, and that the War is all wrong, you seem morally outraged that I and others here do not just pick up and go to Iraq, yet fail to see the irony that you are not in Afghanistan which is where you seem to think the war is justified, nor are you even offering to go!
I think we should have finished Iraq of in 1990-91, but since we did not and are now in another war over there that we should be fighting it as a war! Forget all this politically correct garbage, this is not a schoolyard scrap, seek out and destroy the enemy!

  22. Sonnabend

When’s your show on generally? Sorry…. to lazy to search (I didn’t see it on the profile page yesterday)

    Figure it out, you fool.

  23. Sonnabend

Maybe I’m just missing the picture. If anyone has any positive stories that are more than just anecdotes, please let me know where you find them.

    http://www.usaid.gov/iraq/accomplishments/marsh.html

    * Development of Hydrologic Model of Tigris and Euphrates River Basins. A reservoir simulation model for water allocation and flood control was completed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers/ Hydrologic Engineering Center where MOWR engineers were trained and can train others in turn. Trainings have also been conducted on stream gauging equipment.
    * Equipping Ministry of Water Resources Soil and Water Laboratory. Soil testing and water quality equipment is being installed; staff will receive training on operating the equipment.
    * Monitoring and Development of an Integrated Marsh Management Plan. Rehabilitated the University of Basra laboratory, which monitors four marsh locations and collects data.
    * Livestock Improvement. Established 30 alfalfa farms in the marshes to provide livestock feed. Established a veterinary service and supply of medicine to treat livestock diseases in marsh settlements. Surveyed animal diseases and treated more than 14,000 animals.
    * Agriculture Development. Established 72 demonstration farms in the marshes, introducing new crops and improved management practices for sorghum, wheat, barley, and broad beans. Established eight date palm nurseries with 4,500 trees with a 90 percent survival rate.
    * Fish Restocking. Rehabilitated the Marine Science Center hatchery facilities. Currently breeding high value fish (bunni) to produce native species for release into the marshes.

There are success stories throughout Iraq every day. The following are some of the achievements that have taken place in the new Iraq in the year since Saddam fell:

    * Health care spending increased 30-fold since liberation.
    * Oil infrastructure is being rebuilt and can produce 2.5 million barrels per day.
    * Iraq has a stable currency; the value of new dinar has already risen 25 percent.
    * The international community has pledged $38 billion for schools, health care, and infrastructure.

    Achievements in some specific fields:

    Human Rights and Women

    * The Transitional Administrative Law (TAL) includes an impressive “bill of rights,” which ensures equality of all, regardless of gender, race or religious beliefs. It guarantees freedom of religion and of the press – a first since 1958 in Iraq.
    * Women have an important role to play in the new Iraq. Women served on the Independent Election Committee for Iraq, on the Preparatory Committee for the National Conference, and they comprised 25 percent of the National Conference. The TAL sets a goal that women will make up at least 25 percent of the members of the Transitional National Assembly, to be elected in January.

    Water and Sanitation

    * Water and sanitation projects underway across Iraq will benefit 12-14 million people.
    * In 2003, we helped Iraqis clear over 17,000 kilometers of waterways to improve water flow and irrigation. This year Iraqis will clear another 20,000 km of waterways and employ around 100,000 Iraqis.
    * Some 30-40% of the marshlands drained by Saddam have been re-flooded since liberation.

    Education

    * Nearly 2,500 schools have been renovated; 32,000 secondary school teachers have been trained. Students are now free to exercise critical thought and learn new ideas.
    * Attendance in the 2003-2004 school year met or exceeded pre-war levels.
    * Over 8.7 million new textbooks have been distributed around the country.

    Free press

    * With over 100 newspapers and numerous broadcast outlets, Iraqis for the first time face an array of information sources, and are learning to think critically about truth versus the lies and provocations of the former regime.

    Telecommunications

    * There are now about a million and a half telephone subscribers in Iraq, of which over 600,000 are cell phone subscribers – 70% more telephone subscribers than before the war.
    * Some 80,000 Iraqis now have Internet subscriptions in Baghdad alone, compared to 3,000 Internet and 8,000 email-only subscribers pre-war.

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/infocus/achievement/chap1.html

    * On March 19, 2003, the United States and its coalition partners launched Operation Iraqi Freedom. Three weeks later, Saddam Hussein’s regime was toppled from power. Today the former dictator is awaiting trial in prison rather than ruling in a palace. A regional threat and state-sponsor of terrorism has been removed. Sovereignty has been transferred to the Iraqi people, and free elections will be held in January 2005.
    * The international community has pledged at least $32 billion to rebuild and improve schools, health care, roads, water, agriculture, electricity, and other elements of Iraq’s infrastructure.
    * Schools and clinics have been renovated and reopened, and power plants, hospitals, water and sanitation facilities, and bridges and roads are being rehabilitated. Since the liberation of Iraq, food and electricity are now distributed more equally across the country.
    * Iraq’s oil infrastructure is being rebuilt, with production capacity reaching between 2.3 and 2.5 million barrels of oil per day.
    * Saddam Hussein’s regime spent $16 million in 2002 on health care – less than one dollar per Iraqi per year. Iraq’s budget for the Ministry of Health is now $950 million.

Isn’t Belize a turd world country? If it’s not, it should be. I’ve been to Belize. A great deal of my time spent there was with the Mayor (or whatever it is they call it) of San Pedro island’s daughter. She’s a very nice girl, and very pretty. She swims well too, and is just generally fun to hang out with. She thought it was funny that the only Spanish I knew was cuss words. They have good beer and tobacco there. They have parades during Mardi Gras (or Carnival) and let everyone in the town join in. See, I know stuff about turd world countries.
