Robert Martin, the co-producer of the Benjamin Vanderford Beheading Hoax commented today on the Passionate American website. The video shows Ben Vanderford’s fake beheading. Below is the comment that was posted on Passionate America in response to the “San Fran Man Beheading Hoax” story I posted on Saturday, August 7, 2004.
Just like all morons the people on here are pigeonholing Ben, Robbie, and Laurie to be Liberal.
I understand why people do ths, it makes it easier for the event of the fake beheading easier to fit into their predetermined world view.
Them being “liberal” explains it all.
Even an article floating around online calls ben a “liberal whack job”
some would find it funny that ben is a Conservative !
He leans more towards republican than any other politcal party.
Its hilarious for me to continue reading incorrect posts about Ben. Especially people who think he was protesting the war. This is completely not true. He is merely stating a believable thing in the video as if he were a real hostage.
Typical partisan people always having to simplify things. It’s ok i forgive you i understand the always having to think “black & white”, and never grey. I know its hard sometimes to think in the grey isnt it?
The troops? How have we effected them?

The comment states, “Ben is a Conservative!” What a joke. I believe when I checked his website he was running on the Green party ticket. The original website has been removed so I cannot verify at this time that Benjamin Vanderford was running on the Green Party ticket. (If anyone has copies of the original website please send them to me.) The new website Record Label Records makes Ben Vanderford into a star. Here is a quote from the front page of the website, “Record Label Records artist Great White Hype (Ben Vanderford) stars in and co-directs phony beheading video with Fluorescent Grey (Jacob Jarnigon/Robert Martin).” These guys still do not understand WHAT THEY DID WAS WRONG! In an Updated Press Release from the RLR website, these CATSBRAINS try to garner sympathy for themselves by shifting the blame from their deplorable behavior. Who are the real horrible people here? According to these idiots, it is the news media (specifically Fox News), Geraldo Rivera (I still do not understand this delineation) and “Typical partisan people always having to simplify things” (I believe they are referring to me and other Americans that were outraged by this video.) At the end of Robert Martin’s comment to Wild Bill at Passionate America he says, and I quote,

Update (8/15 9:15PM): Kitty from Kerry Haters has informed me that Benjamin Vanderford ran for office as an Independent cndidate. So it was not the Green Party. I was wrong. But why would a conservative run as an Independent?

I found nothing that said he was running on the Green Party ticket, but I find it difficult to believe, given what I did find, that he’s remotely right-of-center.

I was wrong, ben is not a conservative, but a conservative leaning democrat.

I just wanted to clarify that he is not Green Party either.
The Geraldo comments were made in my press release because Geraldo was on Fox News twice in one day talking about how Ben put the troops in harms way and how he is undermiening the efforts of america occuptation of iraq. He also made comments about how we created a terrible hoax.
If you know Geraldo’s history you know that he was kicked out of Iraq almost a year ago for comprimising the troops classified location by drawing a map in the sand on live tv.
He also created and helped promote his own hoax (possibly unintentionally) about how there are over 1 million practicing satanists in the United States.
I cannot say what we did was right or wrong.
The people on here can think for themselves.

The media inferred that he opposed the war in Iraq because of what he says in the video.
He is simply saying this in the video because it was a realistic and convincing thing to say considering the imagined circumstances.

I personally feel it’s better to not think in such black and white terms.
2 years ago i would have called myself a liberal.
Now after listening to lots of radio and reading literature from the conservative side such as S Hannity, Oreily, R Limbaugh, and P Wattenberg I dont know what to call myself. To put it fairly, they make some very good points. As do a lot of other politcal minds or ideologies such as the Dali Llama, S Hawking, K Vonnegut, R McNamara, R Heinlein, and M Moore.
I believe in the “pick & choose” method. Pick the ideas that make the most sense to *you* and use them to grow as a person. Throw out the stuff that doesnt make sense to you.
Being a friend of Ben’s i could tell you he has done the same. Ben has his own influences. He is influenced by the works of St. Thomas Aquinas, Society of St. Pious X & the Freemasons. This i know for sure.
You can call him green, liberal, conservative, whackoreligious nut, and independent but it will not help with the fact that Ben’s political viewpoints, like mine and many others cannot be defined with a single term.

A couple days ago when i read what you said I was hurt personally about the ass kicking comments.
Now i understand your frustration.
You like a lot of others thought what we did was in very bad taste. This is resonable.
One thing i really want your opinion on.
Do you think the news networks playing and promoting the story was in bad taste?
The reason i mentioned fox news specifcally in my press release is because i watch it everyday.
It happened to be the network i watched on saturday when this beheading news first came out.
Over the entire day they dedicated over 2 hours of screen time to the Beheading hoax.
Sometimes with the subtitle “how do they families of real beheaded victims feel?”
Now i beleive what i did if seen is probably very offensive to the these families,
but can you honestly say that fox news promoting the story all day was not opening old wounds for these grieving families as well?
They didnt have to give it any screen time. They could have seen it for what it was, a fake video. If the press didnt mention it at all and merely reported it to the FBI the families wouldnt have even heard about it.
this is the only point im trying to make, and i am not trying to legitimize my actions in anyway

From a practical standpoint, a conservative might try to run as an Independent in San Francisco because of the stigma attached to Republicans in that area. Certainly I would try to hide the fact that I was a conservative if I was running for any office in San Francisco.

I am not a conservative. This is a very touchy subject in my family but I stand on my own two feet. I believe that this has nothing to do with your political party, but just common decency. This is a black and white issue however. There is wrong (Black) and there is right (White) and you are so far into the black for so many reasons that I don’t think you can see the light anymore.
Issue number one and the most important is the fact that the men that have truly been killed have mothers and fathers who have watched an actual tape of their own child being killed. Rather you are two years old or sixty-two years old you still have a mother. The shear pain of this is unimaginable to most ethical people. I believe that no apology that you could render at this point could possibly be met with forgiveness.
On this line I think that you should come to Oklahoma to meet Wild Bill. As soon as your plane is in the air I think Fox news should falsely report that the flight has crashed and there are no survivors. Then to add insult to injury Wild Bill should contact your mother by phone to get a comment on your untimely death. Then maybe the pain of what your mother has gone through believing you are dead would bring some light to your eyes on the misjustice of what you have done.
The next major issue is the following statement:
‘If anything this video makes the terrorists cause less impacting’
How could you possibly know what this would do to the terrorist. In their religion this farse could be viewed as a huge insult and make them redouble their efforts. Nobody, including me could possibly know what they would think of this or for that matter what our troops might think of it. For all you know our troops may believe that this video shows that people back in the US don’t take what they are doing for us seriously.

If they did not choose to run it, it would have stayed what it was,
A low budget horror movie parody of a beheading albeit in very bad taste. Nobody would have heard about it, thus nobody would have been hurt.
