Dems play Race Card on Zell Miller

Zell Miller has been a life long Democrat, but all of a sudden, because he spoke at the RNC Democrats are calling him a racist. I find this funny; they did not call him a racist while they considered him a Democrat. Democrats site the fact that in the 1960s Zell Miller was the Executive Secretary to Georgia Governor Maddox. Maddox was called a “segregationist”, so obviously this makes Zell a RACIST! And Dems say Zell was hateful?

Generally speaking, their newly appraised racism within Zell, is simply old-style rhetoric & spin. I challange anyone who found him ‘angry,’ or ‘hateful,’ to reread the transcript. This was a brillantly written, and exquisitely delivered speech. Goosebumps & misty eyes- what a real, and not contrived, persuasive argument should do. Logically supported within his own references of a personal historical context: duty(ex-marine,) honor(see previous,) family (4 new great-grandchildren,) & country (which IS different post 9/11)- despite party affiliation. Zell is not an angry-hateful-racist; Zell is a righteously indignant old-school Democrat. His speaking @ the RNC, was just that- the elevated level of debate Zell grew up knowing this country capable of. Democrats, which dismiss him, are suffering from denial.

I LOVED Giv’em Hell Zell’s speech. I’ve seen for a few years in my grand-father that aging men tend to be outspoken and blunt, add to that that Zell is a Marine and it’s a very combustible mix. I expected some rhetoric and spin on this as he is a Dem who “deserted” his party to support his country. HOW DARE HE CHOOSE AMERICA OVER THE DNC! Funny, I thought we lived in a country where our government was supposed to make our lives better and protect our home, but I guess we live in a country where they are supposed to tax us to death, promise social security and not deliver, and just take it up the tail pipe forever. Well, I nominate Giv’em Hell Zell to administer the a$$-whuppin Sadaam should get as well as Osama, and also to give Kerry and Edwards a lesson in REAL patriotism.
