Dems want to raise your gas prices

More evidence that Democrats did not learn anything in college.
House Dems to end Big Oil tax breaks
…For the most part, the tax benefits are ones that lawmakers talked of repealing this year when Congress struggled to respond to the public outcry over soaring summer fuel prices and oil companies’ huge profits. (more)
I get it if you end tax breaks to oil companies, then tax their profits, that will make gas more affordable. There is noway that oil companies would raise prices to make up for the government stealing their money. Democrats are geniuses! Donks I have a better idea, confiscate all of the oil companies and make them part of the federal government then give all the poor victim Americans free gas and make evil rich people pay $90 a gallon. Your turn, let’s hear your brilliant plan to lower gas prices.

witch
Lets just repeal Pelosi!

Explain. Exxon Mobil has been making 10 BILLION a quarter and you are saying that taking back the tax breaks, aka, government hand outs IS GOING TO CAUSE GAS PRICES TO GO UP? ARE YOU A TOTAL FUCKING MORON?
November 20th, 2006 at 3:21 pmthomas
you are a worthless blow hard jackass.

Even Bush said…”I will tell you with $55 oil we don’t need incentives to oil and gas companies to explore,” Bush said in a speech to newspaper editors in Washington. “There are plenty of incentives. What we need is to put a strategy in place that will help this country over time become less dependent.”

you have ZERO credibility

Thomas
From your own reference:
“The House legislation, approved last week by the Ways and Means Committee, is at odds with the Bush administration’s approach. The president’s proposed budget calls for $6.7 billion in tax breaks for energy, with 72 percent going toward renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency, compared with about 6 percent in the House plan.”
“The measure also includes some tax credits for solar energy equipment, fuel cells and energy efficiency improvements to existing homes”
Some of the measures supported by these tax breaks are new refineries, offshore drilling etc. Which serve to make America more energy sufficient, such as promoting the possibility if producing synthetic oil from low quality shale at $17 a barrel.
So what was you said: “you are a worthless blow hard jackass” wasn’t it?
November 20th, 2006 at 4:00 pmWild Bill
Thomas, you obviously have never ran a successful business. If your costs increase the most common way to make that up is to increase the price of your product. You have this Utopian notion that rich people should feel guilty for their wealth and give it all to the poor people.
Thomas, explain how stealing profit from the oil companies is going to lower gas prices.
November 20th, 2006 at 4:19 pmfmragtops
Thomas, you’re an idiot. You insist on posting drive-by comments that you can’t back up, combined with crappy, unoriginal insults, then when you are presented with the facts, you stick your fingers in your ears, or complain that you didn’t actually say what you said.
So, let’s address some of your more specific idiocy, shall we? First, corporations don’t pay taxes, people do. Second, oil companies are making roughly the same amount of profit per gallon of gas now that they made ten years ago. Third, you’re a Marxist asshat. Fourth, a gallon of gasoline, while more dangerous and difficult to produce, ship, and distribute is less expensive than a gallon of milk.
I tell you what, comrade, when the government starts tightening it’s own belt by cutting in to the record profits they make by taxing gasoline, then I’ll entertain the thought of taking money away from oil companies that produce wealth, economic growth, and jobs to give to the government that produces stagnate social programs, waste, and general loserism.
It appears it is YOU with no credibility.

So the government gives them tax cuts to explore for oil. oil stays around $50 PLUS a barrell and they need INCENTIVES to find it? Are you nuts? Here is what you would say if a democrat proposed something so fucking stupid. The Free Market , supply and demand, blah blah. 10 BILLION bitches, that is profit, you know after expenses. hypocrite wind bags.

So Thomas has designated himself the profit Nazi. I demand that Thomas gets only minimum wage on his paycheck. Thomas has enough money to buy a computer and internet connection to spread his socialist stupidity. I say Thomas is making too much of a profit, tax him more.

November 20th, 2006 at 6:31 pmOk, between April and July the amount almost doubled, and the house still did not go with the president’s plan. And less went to alternative sources than asked for. So here are a few thoughts 1. If you want to know about the particulars read the bill itself. 2. Energy companies are not always the proper ones to research alternatives. 3. I have read recently that a lot of the incentives were for increasing new refineries and oil/gas sources IE shale oil extraction. 4. would you have a problem if this $14.5 Billion were given to welfare mothers?
Wild Bill
No he wouldn’t because then all the welfare moms could have plasma tvs and still wouldn’t need a father for their children.

Hypocrite windbags? Hmmm, let’s see thomas, a hypocrite would be someone that professes to hold a position that he doesn’t really hold or vice versa. You’re either too stupid to know what a hypocrite is, or you are a hypocrite for calling us hypocrites when you know we are not hypocrites.
Umm, No, dummy, we don’t oppose tax incentives to anybody. We are in favor of lower taxes, you idiot. The less taxes on a business the more free the market, stupid. A free market is a market that is absent of artificial price pressure brought about by taxes and regulation. Now quit typing before you hurt yourself.
Oh, and you didn’t address any of the points made, you just squealed that Oil Companies make too much money, and called us names. I was playing with you at Shoot A Liberal, but you really are as dumb as you sound. Marxist Asshat!
November 20th, 2006 at 8:02 pmthomas
WB,
You are a complete wiindbag because you can’t even stick to your original point. Someone comes along and shows you to be a reactionary nitwit so you change the subject. Give him minimum wage, or like you buddy says, would you rather it go to welfare mothers like any of that nonsence makes any fucking difference to the point YOU made. As i said, you are a wind bag fucking idiot.
November 21st, 2006 at 9:41 amWild Bill
Thomas, let’s see would this be considered being a reactionary nitwit?
November 21st, 2006 at 7:29 pm* ARE YOU A TOTAL FUCKING MORON?
* you are a worthless blow hard jackass.
* hypocrite wind bags
* you are a wind bag fucking idiot
Would that be reactionary nitwit statements?
