Drones of DOOM, nothing to worry about?
A new Time magazine article warns Americans about the possibility of al-Qaeda attack on the US with weapons of mass destruction.
This is not new information for those of us that have been following al-Qaeda threats during the last four years. The more interesting part (for me) came at the end of the article.
…another episode has some senior U.S. officials worried: the theft of a crop-duster aircraft south of San Diego, apparently by three men from southern Mexico who ssaulted a watchman and then flew off in a southerly direction. Though the theft’s connection to terrorism remains unclear, a senior U.S. law enforcement official notes that crop dusters can be used to disperse toxic substances. The plane, stolen at night two weeks ago, has not been recovered.
Now this is news to me. I was aware that al-Qaeda had been trying to procure an aircraft that could be used to attack the US with chemical and biological weapons. Now it might be possible that al-Qaeda has the plane that they were trying to obtain. This had me somewhat worried until a so-called expert on Fox News calmed my building hysteria. The self-proclaimed expert (sorry, I did not catch his name) said, “We shouldn’t be staying up at night worrying about drones of doom sprinkling germs on us!”
Well, that is good enough for me! Move along people nothing to see here!
