Ernest Istook Not Right For Oklahoma
I am a conservative and a registered Republican. I will be voting on November 7th, that you can be sure of, another thing you can be sure of is that I will not be voting for Ernest Istook for governor. It looks like I am not alone, many republicans are not impressed with Istook and he has little chance of ousting Democrat Governor Brad Henry.
The Washington Post calls Istook’s campaign and uphill fight. The Post has a story today about Istook, Republican in Uphill Fight in Okla. Race. Here is an excerpt:
OKLAHOMA CITY — Things have not gone as planned for Republican Rep. Ernest Istook, who is giving up a safe seat in the U.S. House to wage a lonely, uphill fight to oust Oklahoma’s popular governor.
Istook trails Democratic Gov. Brad Henry by more than 20 percentage points as the Nov. 7 election nears, according to public opinion surveys.(read more)
I had not paid much attention to Istook before he called me an “Irresponsible Internet Blogger”, but I am paying attention to him now. Here is the video of Istook calling me irresponsible. Maybe Istook should ask his campaign staff who is at his press conference before he decides to verbally attack a fellow conservative. I signed the sheet they passed around before the press conference, put my website address, and my phone number. At the end of the press conference when reporters were asking questions the reporter standing directly in front of me ask Istook a question. Istook turned to answer the reporter’s question and I made eye contact with Istook. I did not like what a saw. Istook is not a man I would vote for.
Republicans are the better party for America and I will vote almost exclusively for Republican candidates on November 7th. I will not be voting for Ernest Istook for governor of Oklahoma, I will be voting for Governor Brad Henry. Governor Henry is better for Oklahoma.

Gaaaaaaaawd, what I would have given to be labelled “irresponsible internet blogger” by Uncle Ernie. I’d consider that quite an honor. I would have probably handled MSM much different than you. No interviews. I would have rode my bike onto the BA, left it on the shoulder for the cops to figure out, and secretly taken a redeye bus to rural upstate Maine. Wait a couple of weeks, then call Katie Couric and offer an exclusive for 50G. She’s cute.

His campaign is a joke to begin with, and the tactics he’s using against Brad Henry are silly.
As simple as that, “silly”.
I was watching News 4 before heading out for work, when they discussed his new tactic of “trading cards”.
Has a drug offender on one side, that was permitted parole with Brad Henry in office.
There’s no chance of him winning the election, ever.
