Fahrenheit 9/11 is a lie! FahrenHYPE 9/11 tells the real story!

FaherenHYPE 9/11
I went to see Fahrenheit 9/11 when it was in theaters. I did not want to give Michael Moore one penny, but I did not feel that I should write about a movie that I had not seen. So my son and I went to watch Fahrenheit 9/11 (at least we could enjoy some popcorn and candy while we watched the movie.) I told my son I would try hard to keep my mouth shut during the movie.

My son spoke first. He said, “Dad, why is [Michael Moore] lying about George Bush?” That was about all I could take. At that point, I made it clear to everyone in the theater that I would not sit there and be quiet while Michael Moore lied about America and about the President. One lie after another spewed from Michael Moore’s mouth, I challenged each and everyone. At one point, the people in the theater started laughing at what I was saying. They were not laughing at me but agreeing with my take on what Michael Moore was lying about. After the movie was over, many people walked up to me and thanked me for telling the truth and for the entertaining way I had presented my views. One woman even suggested that I should make a movie. Looks like Dick Morris has beaten me to it. Dick Morris’s FahreHYPE 9/11 is coming to DVD October 5th, 2004. I just pre-ordered the FahrenHYPE 9/11 DVD and the companion book! I cannot wait.

I can’t wait to see this. I didn’t see Moore’s film –I knew I wouldn’t be able to take it…I can’t even watch CNN without yelling at the TV.
I talked to Dick Morris on the radio. I told him that he has almost redeemed himself for eight years of Clinton & he apologized and told me to come to his book signing and he would give me a free book to make up for it! LOL

  2. I couldn’t bring myself to pay for a movie ticket to Farenheit 911, but I’ll rent it when it comes out just for a good laugh. FarenHype 911 looks quite entertaining…

I agreed with Moore’s movie, but would be interested in learning more about counter-arguements and seeing the FarhenHYPE film. Moore used fact checkers and researchers from the New York Times, so I would think it would be hard to refute the claims in his movie. But it’s always good to hear both sides of the story. What do you feel were the most egregiously false claims of the film?

  4. Anonymous,

If you actually agree with Moore’s movie, then you are a lost soul. What in the hell could you possibly agree with in that movie. Fact checkers, are you bat-shit? Michael Moore probably hired the same fact checkers that checked Jason Blair’s crap or he used Dan Rather’s fact checking crew. In addition, as to the most egregiously false claims of the film, almost the entire film is a lie. The entire premise for the movie is based on a lie. The worst thing about the movie is Michael Moore knows he is lying, and idiots like you keep drinking his Kool-aid.

Mooreover, tell your hero–that Fat piece of anti-America shit–Michael Moore that if he does not like the fact that I am calling him a liar, then he can sue me.

    Anonymous:
Moore used ’slander & libel’ lawyers/checkers… Making sure than charges leveled at Bush were never outright, but insinuating -making lawsuits avoidable.
The two main premises of the movie -have been shown to be false (and most sub-points too)
1- ‘Bush let members of the Bin Laden family go after 9/11 when no planes were flying’. Not true. Yes, they did leave AFTER planes were flying, after being vetted by the FBI and most important -after the final approval of…Richard Clark. (Who appeared in the movie and conveniently never discussed this).
2- The war was to profit the Carlyle Group….a group which bid contracts and had ties to Bush’s family… and got NONE of the contracts.
3- Moore also takes great issue with the 7 minutes Bush sat in a FL classroom as not to panic a bunch of little kids -but Kerry admitted that he and a few other Senators sat from the second tower until the Pentagon was hit without being able to move or think -43 minutes…
4- FarenHype 9/11 talks to soldiers who appeared in Moore’s movie and who support the war and are very distressed by the way Moore edited them and distorted what they had actually said.
5- He also says that no members of Congress have family in the military and this is also not true. I read that the proportion (statistically) is actually higher than average.

You can also read a great article by Christopher Hitchens (Vanity Fair writer) about F9/11 which was really good -as he used to be quite liberal himself:

I hope that you will research the things that Moore said in the movie for yourself (remember the NYT employed Jason Blair who made up most of his articles -don’t use them as Gospel)…I think you will be surprised at what you find…
    Have a great day…

Thanks ALa71 for the information, I will check out that article. I think its true that you can’t rely too much on fact checkers, statistice, polls, etc. You can use statistics to prove anything, and many people do put too much blind faith in the ability of them to prove a point.
As for Wild Bill, name calling doesn’t prove anything.

  7. I am so sorry Anonymous,

You just wanted me to do the research for you and provide you with the sources for information that you could look up yourself if you were interested in the truth. I learned a long time ago that it is a waste of time to provide facts to people that do not want to believe the truth in the first place. Do you think that it is my job to prove the truth to you? How do you prove the truth to someone that is not interested in the truth? As for the name calling, I called you a lost soul and an idiot. If you, “agreed with Moore’s movie”, then you are an IDIOT. Sorry if that hurts your feelings. I am not here to sugar coat the truth. I call it like I see it. If I am incorrect, I will admit it. I do not believe I am wrong for referring to you as an idiot. Since you like for people to prove things to you, then prove you are not and IDIOT!

WOW, I like Wild Bill’s logic- I like a lot. I find it comforting.

  9. Why thank you, you just made my head bigger. Just kidding. Have Fun :)

You people have been sucked into Bushs lies, that you actually think they truth. i feel sorry fo you, i really do. Wake up and smell the burning bodies of our soldiers dying for Iraqi oil.

  11. Anonymous

I couldnt agree more. I think that a vast majority of Americans have been blinded to the true agenda of the Bush Administration. Its all about money. Bush doesnt care how many of our own die in Iraq. Just as long as the pipelines are ready for pumping on schedule. I hate his administration and everything it stands for. I wish my fellow Americans would wake up!!!!

What we need to wake up to is the fact that there are too many perspectives in the United States to think that a two party system will accurately represent any of us. Every election year we hear who’s bad and who’s worse. We are made to chose between the lesser of two evils. And everyone knows what they don’t want, but, not so many people can say what they want from government. I can say that it is innaccurate to call things “right wing” and ” left wing. I think that at the farthest of each political belief you will find that there will be agreement on many issues. IE: I am an overtly liberal person. I think that Gov’t needs to stay out of my house, business, and personal affairs. I don’t think that many “Right Wing” people could disagree with that statement. I think that we could debate all day about the accuracy of the spin doctors on either side and miss the whole point of politics. Which, incidentally is what both parties would love us to do. Depend on representation instead of communication. The moneymakers on both sides may lose elections, but never money. That is why the two party system works for the big wigs, but to call this democracy is a fallacy.
