France, China, and Russia: Axis of Backstabbers
The New York Post has a story Axis Of Backstab about the book “Treachery: How America’s Friends and Foes Are Secretly Arming Our Enemies,” I am about halfway through the book and will give my comments on the book when I finish it. Go and get this book, it is an eye opening look into why France, Germany, and Russia opposed the US and Britain at the UN regarding the War in Iraq.

France and China are one thing, but I think we should all lay off Russia. After 1400 consecutive years of awful governance, Russia is making a concerted effort to be admited to The League of Halfway Decent Nations, the LHDN (of which the United States is a founding member).
Sure they keep screwing up. They can’t seem to get the hang of “freedom of the press”, capitalism is infected with mobsters, and Putin just cannnot resist the urge to throw his political opponents in jail. So it’s one step at a time in the LHDN 12-step program. But they keep getting kicked in the nuts by Muslim terrorists and they for damn sure want to stay away from communism and even socialism. Let’s take it easy on them.

I’ve been looking at your blog. Interesting stuff. I love America, honestly I do. For me, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. But I don’t think our government is perfect and I just wonder why so many right-wingers seem to be under the impression that God likes us better than anyone else. This whole “God Bless America” stuff seems very self-important, if not downright narcissistic. Don’t you think the whole fucking world could use some of God’s blessings right now?

I know what has happened in Russia is horrible, but Russia has armed our enemies, by selling banned weapons and helped build infrastructure for the production of nuclear weapons. Russia sold weapons and equipment that was illegal (per UN resolutions) to Iraq that has been used to kill American and coalition troops. Russia has helped build nuclear reactors in Iran and North Korea that are being used right now to enrich uranium to build nuclear weapons. I hope Russia will now join the coalition and help in the WAR ON TERROR. I hope they will decide to help destroy these TERRORIST instead of secretly arming them.
