Question: if someone called John Edwards a “wuss,” a “weenie,” or a “wimp,” would that mean the same thing to you as labeling him a “man who has sex with other men?”

Furthermore, would it be the same as labeling him a homosexual with what 99% of people in polite society consider a mean slur?

You folks are ridiculous. There’s a war going on, politics set the policy, and some silly woman just associated GOP presidential candidates with an anti-gay slur at a serious political conference. This gives the political opponents of those candidates a little bit of ammunition to use as both sides woo politically disinclined moderates.

Most Americans do not worship Ann Coulter like an ideological prophet and don’t like politicians associated with bombthrowers who slur entire groups of people. Until you understand this fact, you will be a liability to the very causes you claim to support.
