I usually do not post comments on blogs because it is a waste of time, however, your writing style and descriptiveness has forced me to do the unusual - and post a comment.
Excellent writing and I couldnt agree more with you on all points.
From our perspective here at AD, we hope “the West” finally wakes up and takes care of this thorn in our backside - but why stop at Iran? Syria, Egypt, all of North Africa, Chechnya, parts of Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, and the rest of the Muslim world are all vying for a fight with the West. Time to take action on all fronts - yes we can do it - we have the big bombs.
When the time comes to fight, do you put down your weapons and surrender to a barbarous enemy or do you draw your sword and shield and fight for the lives of your children?
I say bring it on!

I hope to god we don’t just let this slide like we have done in the past, in my mind this is 100% cause for us to use those nuclear missiles which we have got stored away in our nuclear submarines. Send in the troops to get our troops out, and take as many prisoners as you want.
I do believe that this will be the start of World war War 3 (wars have been started over less).

I partially agree with you brady, though the fact of the matter is iran has been very public about there wmds, if they are being honest and are only in the developing stages of nukes, than there is no chance they could do anything to the usa, but What coutry is honet about there arsenal o in my opinion iran probably has nukes, but if they had launchers that could hit us they would have shot of nukes by now, as would kim jong il, North Korea and Iran are the only 2 hostile countries that have arenals that will put up a fight and that are led by Leaders that just dont give a damn becuase they are dieing, IF we attack iran and engaged them in NUclear war , it wouldnt be much, IF you rad about this topic a little more american scientists have been working a The most devastating bomb ever known to man, IF dropped this bomb will destroy the entire middle east, not just iran it has the power to crak one of earth plates. IF arguments with iran and N Korea progress Some Americans may be endanger, bbut if a war was going to go down no iran or korean missle launcher can reach america therefore a plane would have to drop a bomb on America and the amount of pats set up and aas stationed around our country is unbelievable. America may be attacked by the hreds of a bomb and plane and an iranian. A world war is a war with many countries involved and a long period of time of war, This wouldnt be a war this would be a man slaughtering

I am sorry for your little mind. Just for your information I would like to let you know a few points. Then use your logic before you even starting to think.
USA and Briton backed Saddam hussain during the 8 years war between Iran and Iraq (1980s). USA & UK supplied all weapons including chemical and biological to Saddam. And indeed he used those bombs on Iranian civilians. Millions of Iranians died THANKS TO THE WEST. Saddam was you friend remember.
An American battle ship hits an Iranian airline plane (IranAir) over the Persian Gulf. hundreds of civilians died. You celebrated upon their arrivals back to USA and gave your soldiers medals of honour and called them heroes for doing that. THANKS TO THE WEST (very civilised)
USA and UK have military presence in the Persian Gulf, Iraq, Israel, Afghanistan. Us Iranians are very tolerating people for not retaliating to you so far. HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE DIED SINCE THE IRAQ WAR? THANKS TO THE WEST
There are over a Billion of us Muslims in the world. Now I like to see the west even to try. WE HAVE THECHNOLOGIES THAT YOU HAVE NOT.
Remember that when we use to have universities and libraries in Iran thousands of years ago you guys were still monkeys I should imagine.

I used to like the Americans, but over the last 6 years the Americans have become more aggressive, arrogant, and just plain oblivious to the worlds view.

All these are very interesting comments. To all my very learned friends (especially INTELLIGENCE), all I want you to know is some history. MUSLIMS have always been TERRORISTS ever since the inception of Islam. They have spread NOTHING BUT HATRED and VIOLENCE across the planet. They have beheaded people in the region of India / Pakistan / Afghanistan for over a thousand years when someone refused to convert to Islam. So actually all of the Muslims living in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan are the product of FORCED CONVERSION. What would you call that? I’d call it terrorism.
Muslims cannot have it both ways. When Muslims captured land, money, women and resources by force (even today) wherever they went, it was all OK. But now if the US wants to grab Iraq by force, and Muslims scream fowl. What’s wrong with it now? Just because the US is doing it.
Muslims do not send armies across the borders now-a-days. They just send armies of illegal immigrants to other countries and once inside, they multiply like rabbits [ and then call their religion the fastest growing religion
].
I say the civilized world should round up all these Muslims heathens of the world and send them to Australia. They should be banned from building boats and planes and if they ever leave Australia, they should be either sunk or shot out of the skies.
Then, maybe the civilized would be able to live in peace at last.
