It’s the FAIR TAX, not Evangelicals Stupid!
Are pundits, political hacks, bloggers and the media stupid or just flat out liars? I keep reading and hearing over and over again that the reason Huckabee is doing so good in the presidential primaries is because of evangelical votes. That has got to be the most dishonest load of horse squeeze that I have ever heard. The reason and almost the only reason Huckabee is doing so well in the Republican primaries is:
- He is not a Democrat
- He is not Ron Paul
- and the FAIR TAX!
I know most of you lying ass special interest shitheads will melt like the wicked witch in the Wizard of Oz if you say the words FAIR TAX, but say it with me now,
FAIR TAX
If Fred Thompson stays in the race I will be voting for him, my second choice for the Republican nominee is Huckabee. Before you say it believe me I know Huckabee is not a conservative, no candidate but Fred Thompson is, but if I had to choose one other candidate that has even one thing going for them it would be Huckabee for supporting the FAIR TAX. I am not anywhere close to an evangelical, (I’m an atheist) and even I know the single most amazing change we could make in this country is the FAIR TAX.
If Fred Thompson came out tomorrow and said he read the FAIR TAX book thought about it and decided it was a great idea and as president he would try and pass the FAIR TAX he would win the Republican nomination is a landslide.

The main problem though Bill is that electing a president to do tax reform is like hiring a plumber to fix your car. I too like the Fair Tax but it’s something that Congress has to do. It’s why I and many other are scrutinizing our potential reps and senators more on the issue.

Alright I’m glad you are still alive and all that, but this unnatural fear and hatred of witches has got to stop, That evil little girl Dorothy and her equally evil vicious little dog got away free and clear for their assault but don’t think I’m done yet.
Not by a long shot!

Bill,
You’re way off base. Look at the polling percentages from Iowa and even New Hampshire and you’ll see it was values voters that chose Huckabee, not fiscal Conservatives. Yes, Huck supports the Fair Tax, but even Neal Boortz has his reservations about Huck. It’s not the taxes, it’s the Jesus.

Bill, I am no longer a fair tax fan, or rather, I am not soley a fair tax man. Google “Rise up economics” and read about a real plan for making the poor rich…..huck is fooling people and should not be president, just ask any arkansas conservative (like my dad) that said huck raised his taxes tremendously and smiled while he did it.

I don’t believe for a moment that The Huckster would ever fully adopt The Fair Tax. His record does not support that assumption. He is a living example of Clintonian politics - say whatever is needed to gain the votes. He raised taxes on Arkansans 47% in his time in Little Rock. Likewise he raised spending I believe 63%. That doesn’t sound like anyone who would adopt The Fair Tax to me. He’s got Boortz and his audience snowed.

me, personally, i rather enjoy the UNfair tax like it is now. why ruin a perfectly wretched, slanted, disfunctional system that hasn’t worked, EVER!?! I don’t know why we even bother discussing presidential nominees, we should have a king take over and tell us to shut up and pay tax or die. why all this pretense about fairness, yada yada, its all buzz bullshit that WILL NEVER HAPPEN NOR BE FAIR!
