It seems John Kerry my have broken the rules at the debate last Thursday night. The video above shows Kerry pulling something from his inside coat pocket before the debate. If he did, this is a clear violation of the rules he agreed to. ( Read more at INDC Journal )

I was in class during the debate on Tuesday; I’m just now, for the first time, watching clips from it. I wouldn’t put it past the Democrats to break the rules in something like this… That’s what liberals do. This matter needs to be investigated, and if Kerry did indeed cheat, that needs to be exposed.

Sore Losers? Did you watch the debate? Bush won the debate-you’re probaly just like Kerry-unable to make any decisions on your own and stick with it. Kerry is know as the “undecided one.”

Even if it was just a pen, it violated the rules of the debate. I don’t see how pointing it out makes us sore losers. If it had been Bush breaking the rules your side would have been all over him like flies on…..
In my opinion, Kerry won the debate on style, but Bush won on substance.

I hate to tell you, but according to the New York Post, “The Post reviewed a Fox News Channel feed from Thursday’s debate: Kerry pulled out . . . a black pen.”
October 4th, 2004 at 3:54 pmNow, maybe conservatives would like to debate the issues?

Maybe you should go back and read the debate rules. Kerry can not even pull a pen out of his pocket according to the rules Kerry agreed too. I don’t give a crap if it was a pen or a cheat sheet, the rules said he could not do it.

is it necessary to resort to pedantic nitpicking? Are republicans that desperate?

I don’t give a crap if it was a pen or a cheat sheet, the rules said he could not do it.”Rule 5(c) is dubiously vague at best. “Tangible objects”? What the living hell is a tangible object in the context of this real-world discussion. Both candidates are wearing clothes. I dont see a clothing exemption. If we want to split hairs, we might as well really get into splitting them… What if a candidate wanted to wear a bullet proof vest which is not an obvious necessity as clothing is. If a candidate has a hearing aid, is that a tangible object? The lint in their pockets; is that tangible?
If we really want to get viscious and attack people for idiotic reasons, maybe the people would also like to know what that astoundingly obvious rectangular bulge on Bushs back was under his suit top? Radio transciever feeding him answers into an earpiece which people haqve long claimed he uses anyway at certain public speaking events…. maybe it was just a medical device; either way… he had something tangible stuffed under that jacket because no $2,000 business suit has a rectangle bulge like that from “ruffled fabric”.

CONSPIRACY? (in both debates, different kinds of buldges?)
At the very least, its as petty an issue as the pen thing.
