Right On The Right to Relaunch On July 4th
One of the most inspiring and passionate teen bloggers I know is Justin from Right On The Right. Justin was going through almost the same blogging crisis that I was going through a few weeks ago and this is what he had to say, “I’ve decided to take a short blogging sabbatical, to rethink the direction and purpose of this site.”
Most of us know the feeling. Something just does not seem right and that little nagging voice in your head is screaming for a change. Well it didn’t take Justin very long to discover the change that he needed to make to move forward with his life. The next day Justin posted this, “My blogging sabbatical will last until July 4th, when Right on the Right will change focus, to building a new generation of Conservatives. Stay tuned. More details to come.
To grow all things must change, and I’m happy to say that Justin is not giving up but refocusing his blogging efforts toward a new direction. His new direction is more inline with his true purpose in life and he is pointed in the right direction on his pursuit of happiness. Justin I’m proud of you and you know that I consider you a friend and will help you out in anyway I can.
If you would like to help Justin and encourage him on his new path swing over to Right On The Right and leave him a comment and increase his happiness. You’ll feel better for it and you can get to know one of the future leaders of the next generation of conservatism in America.

P.S. Not all teachers are bad. Many of us are conservative. We also don’t have the power you might think we possess. We also pretty much have no choice as whether or not we are in an union. I’d go on, but I don’t want to be a whiner.

I fully agree with you RT. I think Justin might just need to clarify his target a little more clearly.

I’m lucky that I get to have conversations with my students about the realities of teaching. Even until I was teaching in the classroom I didn’t fully understand the profession. Are there extreme beliefs within the profession? Yes, but those extremes can be seen in our parents and the administration (on up to the superintendent). A lot of the “attitude” is retiring, btw. The younger teachers are old-school, believe it or not. I don’t let my students know my views; in fact, I play devil’s advocate to get the kids to really think about their views and how they can support them. We talk about narrowmindedness and the importance of hearing from all sides to understand our personally held beliefs.
I applaud Justin for what he is doing, but he should be wary of blanket statements. Look at the ones the “other” side makes and how that makes them look.

I said teachers have replaced the liberal ground game, and that doesn’t mean all teachers are liberal, it just means a vast majority are. I have had Republican teachers, but the only reason I knew they were Republican was from asking them not only outside of class, but outside of school, after they retired. The liberals ones you know, because they seem to have no hesitation declaring it in class.

Thank you for writing such a wonderful post! Now I don’t know what to say without feeling guilty that I may be infringing on your copywrite! lol. Great post.
PS. The homepage I gave you is a new one that I created to consolidate all my blogs. Everytime I write something, I also put it there. I just got tired of people missing out.

RT, I’ve sort of got to know you from the comments you leave a Radioactive Liberty. I’m convinced you are not part of the problem, but part of the solution.
Rosemary, thanks for stopping by. I’ll have to checkout your new home page.
