The reason for the anger and disgust toward the Republicans is because Conservatives are NOT hypocrites. We see a problem with leadership and it doesn’t matter what letter is in front of their names. The difference is Liberals see nothing wrong with the way their “congress” is acting because the majority is Dem.
I will call it like I see it, America First, The President and the rest of Congress is selling out our nation, giving a pass to Illegals and calling us racist because WE don’t support it. Screw him, and I will never vote for another “supposedly” Republican again. They better stand up and say it. and act for America and her values first. I will not Vote Dem either unless they put a candidate up there that will support our nation rather than their party. That won’t happen so Independent is going on my card.

“Never” is an awfully long time. I try to avoid absolutes like that– it’s kinda like the folks who say we “never” should have allied with the USSR during World War Two. That would have most likely resulted in a large portion of the world speaking German.
Do I like it? No. Will I be inclined to vote for the folks supporting this? No.
Am I going to be childish enough to use the liberal tactic of smearing the entire group because some members of a group do something? I think the answer is obvious from my phrasing.

As for Texas Fred I have been attacked by him long ago as a rabid Bushie. He is the internet’s resident Michael Savage. He liberally spreads his pessimism and negativism at every site he can. Although I do not agree with your stance on giving Bush and the GOP Amnesty crowd the benefit of the doubt, I do fully support your right to say what you want. I told you when you started writing here you can write what you want how you want and I stick to that.
Fred sorry you feel that way it would be sad to lose you as a friend and a reader but you gotta be you.
Now as for my opinion on this current problems with the GOP. I am personally done with any republican politician that is for Amnesty (or whatever they want to call it.) I am done with Bush, when he, Chertoff, and Tony Snow started playing the race card they lost all future support from me. There are many other Republicans that have been trying to forward the same brown-skin-haters argument and they can all kiss my passionate ass.
I am still supporting Fred Thompson for the time being, however I am so close to giving up on all politicians. I do not have a lesser of two evils mentality. I have a right and wrong mentality. A wrong candidate is still a wrong candidate no matter what letter they have after there name. With that said I fully support LOF’s right to her opinions.

Yeah you are right LOF, I knew he was touting amnesty prior to his election, BUSH isn’t the ONLY Rino in DC. I figured we had a good shot at getting some security after 9-11, what do we have? a wide open border that is leaking whatever wants to come in.
and I’m paying for it along with every other WORKING man or woman. Taxes being payed for their well being while social security is melting and health care is melting away.
I have no problem with trying to reform Immigration laws, but seal the damn border, and let the agents do their job without being put in jail.
This issue is a deal breaker for most and it’s going to cost the Republicans more than the 08 election. you can thank Bush while you are kissing his ass.
He let us down, the rest of the elected rino’s let us down as well, we expect that from Democrats, Not from the party of Reagan.
Reagan allowed the first amnesty, with provisions that were never followed. this was Reagan’s only blemish IMO. Bush has several and as a matter of fact, Bush has more Blemishes on his presidency than he has good points.
Keep on supporting the man but as long as there are 3 border agents in jail for doing their job, I’ll be turning my back on the man.
