Smokey’s Friday news RANT!
It has been far too long since I last ranted about the news, so I figured today is as good as any day to do just that, so without further delay, AWAY WE GO!
N.Y. Times retaliates against Cheney and RumsfeldWell, it seems the NYT is no longer satisfied to simply imply and suggest how to beat America in the GWOT, they are now GIVING OUT INFORMATION pertaining to the Vice President and the Secretary of Defense. In their photo expose and story about Rumsfeld, they even point out his security cameras. In addition to all of this, they note where the men shop and eat while vacationing, and even what roads they travel.
I’m sorry folks, but this is a DIRECT THREAT to the safety of these two men, one of them is first in line for the Oval Office should something happen. I’m not sure about you, but this sounds like TREASON to me, or at least sedition. Now, the question is, what is the White House going to do about it? I ask about the White House, because I can GUARANTEE that the House and Senate will do NOTHING because the NYT is the biggest supporter of the DNC in the country, spouting out their talking points, and slandering Republicans DAILY! If you subscribe to the New York Tripe, CANCEL NOW, and from here on out, don’t spend one red cent on that paper or with any of their advertisers that you don’t have to. Since we know they don’t care what we think, let’s see if they care about OUR MONEY!
Starbucks denies “anti-war e-mail”I want to start off by saying that I understand and agree with any private company making their own policy and standing by it, as long as it’s legal. Now, it seems that a story has been floating around that Starbucks denied requests for coffee donations to troops in the mid-east because they don’t support the war. Starbucks officials, however, replied that Starbucks donations are only available to “designated public charities”, but that employees are encouraged to take initiative, and one store in California even saw the employees donating their free pound of coffee to the troops in Afghanistan each week.
Now, as I said, I agree with Starbucks on the grounds that they can write policy for donations any way they want, as long as they are not “discriminating”, although that word has been defined MILLIONS of ways, so I don’t know how it could be proven. But, one question, how much money do you think they would make (from conservatives of course) if they DID send some free java over to the troops? The next question is would that rise in profits be enough to counter the boycott from moon-bats sure to follow the donation?
Arkansas Gov. says, “Ban gay foster parents!”And I AGREE WITH HIM! I’m sorry, but there is ONE LINE in this story that should be reason enough to trash the whole court case

Did you catch that, the four “couples” who sued, NEVER APPLIED, therefore they were NEVER DENIED! It’s very similar to the atheist man, who sued the school district his daughter went to for “violating his right of religious freedom” by celebrating Christmas, yet no one mentions that his daughter DOES NOT LIVE WITH HIM, and his daughter IS A CHRISTIAN! You see, it works like this, whoever sues is assumed to be right, therefore ONE PERSON can over ride the opinions of MILLIONS now that the moon-bats have taken over the bench. Well, guess what, I am about to start suing for my rights to be a Christian, to celebrate Christian holidays openly and (gasp) IN PUBLIC, and for my right to be “offended” by atheism, homosexuality, and anything else that “offends” me. How far do you think I’ll get, the door, or half-way down the aisle?
GOP Senators push for military tribunalsIT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME! I am getting sick and tired of hearing about how the detainees at Gitmo are not being treated fairly under the Geneva Convention, when the countries they are from DID NOT SIGN IT, nor are they fighting for any official national army, and they don’t afford ANY RIGHTS to the people they KIDNAP, RAPE, TORTURE, and BEHEAD! Well, I’ll make a deal with you, option one or two moon-bats…..
1 - SHUT UP ABOUT ALL OF THIS until they are all tried (in a military court) or you get the TERRORISTS in Iraq to either LEAVE, surrender, or just die somehow.

2 - We send one to live with you, and we put military guards all around your home to make sure he doesn’t leave your home. Since you know so much better, YOU KEEP HIM 24/7!
FINALLY! I’m sorry, but when you say that Israel is simply “using the KIDNAPPING and VERY PROBABLE torture and murder of one of their soldiers as a “cover”, you’re pretty much belly up waiting to be DEVOURED BY SHARKS, or in this case, the Israeli military. You see, a few days ago, a group of palestinians “raided” an Israeli post, and kidnapped a soldier. They are now DEMANDING that Israel release about 1000 TERRORISTS who Israel has ARRESTED, not kidnapped. Well, FINALLY it seems, Israel has had enough and has been pounding the Gaza strip. I can also say this, if I were Israel’s PM right now, I’d say this…..
Free our soldier, and for EVERY INJURY HE HAS, one more day of our assault, that’s the deal, take it, or watch us make a new parking lot!
