Star Wars R2D2 Mailbox

To help celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars this year the United States Postal Service will be rolling out mailboxes that have been completely wrapped in custom R2-D2 graphics. (link)

Creators of the R2D2 mailbox are a little worried, “Occasionally the mailbox runs away and hides, but we believe your mail will be safe as long as no Jawas steal the mailbox and try to sell it to farmers on Tatooine.”

You might also notice that each mailbox has the website uspsjedimaster.com on the front. The site doesn’t appear to be live at the moment but it’s obvious the Post Office has even more Star Wars tie-ins planned. I don’t think a forthcoming line of stamps would be a bad guess.(link)

There are no plans at this time (or anytime) for a Jar-Jar Binks stamp. Jar-Jar Binks was quoted as saying something that no one can understand.
