The hidden benefit of anger

Do you get angry? Duh, of course you do. Most people think anger is always a bad thing. Not true at all. Anger has a hidden benefit that is rarely talked about let alone praised. I’m here to tell you anger can and is a very useful emotion if used in the right way.
Just recently I experienced the positive effects of anger and it totally changed my perspective on how important it is to get angry sometimes. I was in a funk so I decided to just step back a figure out what was causing my lack of motivation. I knew something was wrong, when I read the news online or watched the nightly news I just got angrier and angrier. I needed to make a change, however if it were not for the anger I was feeling I’m sure I would not have recognized the change that I needed to make.
Anger let’s you know that something is not right and that something is you.
When you are stuck in a lower level of consciousness like apathy—where nothing really matters and you’re not really sure what to do about it if it did—you need to feel an emotion to motivate you to make the change that you need to make. That’s where anger comes into play. Anger let’s you know that something is not right and that something is you.
When you feel that you are getting angry, stop right where you are and ask yourself this question:
Why am I getting angry?
When you can answer that question then it is time to make the changes necessary to move you through your anger and onto a higher level of consciousness. Learn how to identify when you are getting angry and you will have learned a very valuable skill that will help you turn blind rage into a positive life altering event. I’m finally understanding the reasons why I get angry and I hope you will to.
Why are you angry and what change do you need to make to overcome your anger?

Wouldn’t it be better if you channeled your rage into something more productive like gardening or needlework.
