Would the ‘real conservative’ please stand up?

Well, the writings on the wall…

McCain has decided that if Hillary and Obama are running for president then apparently anyone or a ham sandwich can run for prez…

Not really. But he has officially announced it.

What does this mean to you, me, and that creep guy over there?

I shall elaborate…

The Five (conservative?) Degrees of John McCain

1. For RINOS and pretty much social liberals…McCain is not only the man…He’s the messiah.

2. For the sorta-conservative who narks on Bush on a regular basis…Once again…McCain would be the candidate of choice.

3. For the pessimistic conservative who thinks hell will freeze over before a republican takes the next election (i.e the reason we lost the house to the dems)… McCain would seem the only hope to bridge the gap between leftist and conservatives. All they can think about is how much the left hates us and honestly believe that they (the evil ones) will warm up to McCain. Which they probably would…

4. For your average conservative…McCain might rank up there with Giuliani . Not quiet conservative enough but would be a good leader and wrangle up those dems. Also a good choice for the war on terror(?).

5. For the well researched and more social conservative…McCain is a terrible choice. They realize he has had differences in the past with the Bush Admin and is really only a RINO anyway.

As for me (which we know that is the only opinion that matters.) I really do not care for him that much. However, I will pull a Hannity here and give Giuliani a good chance. He doesn’t match most conservatives socially on abortion or gay marriage but when planes are being driven into buildings then who cares if Joe and Bob are getting married on Saturday. In these times of war I can say one thing.

IF you can clean up New York, you can clean up damn near anything!

I am not forsaking my core beliefs…But priority is the key. I take the war at hand very seriously and don’t want some rookie goodie two shoe “Oh I want to save the world from gay marriage evil!” prep boy. We need someone who is going to serve something to the middle east. We need someone who is well known and not some no-name-face who is governor of a state I could care less about.

We need intimidation.

We need talent.

We need a New Yorker!??….

  1. Hey, I’m not a creep. I’m a pain in the rear, as hard headed as a marble statue, subtle like dynamite, ‘not ready for prime time’ and as popular as New Coke but defiantly not a creep.

As for the Democrat from Arizona, he’s been planning this since the day after his primary defeat in 2000. The only reason he didn’t do it in 2004 is because he knew he couldn’t defeat an incumbent. He’s been stabbing Bush in the back ever since his loss though with the Gang of 14 being prominent in such. An let’s not forget Hillary never travels aboard without bringing her favorite lapdog along.

Among the contenders with any real chance, I currently prefer Romney. Sheriff Arpaio throwing his support behind Mitt should be a signal for conservatives and Arizonans alike. Yes Romeny’s a Mormon and no I don’t like that. But I can live with it allot more than I can with Giuliani’s socially liberal positions.
