XMirius, XM And Sirius To Merge

Boy did I see this one coming. XM and Sirius satellite radio are about to merge.
From the New York Post: “Satellite radio operators Sirius and XM are expected to announce their long-awaited merger today, according to a source familiar with the deal.” (link)
I think this is great news for the two satellite radio giants. I’ve always said since I started in radio that one day I will be on satellite radio (XM or Sirius) now I don’t have to choose. I can have the best of both worlds. Lets hope subscribers to XM and Sirius get both for the same price. Double your value for the same price, what a bargain.

It’s still got to go through regulatory approval. Letting them merge would create a monopoly in the industry and I know they’re aren’t big on monopolies.

This is good news, for Progressive Talk, because Mike Malloy, LittleOrangeFox’s favorite radio talk show host, is coming back to XM, on March First, Two-Thousand and Seven!!!
